hi, I'm Robin
It’s part worrying that choosing yourself more deeply will shake up your relationships and the security they bring you. And it’s also fearing that if you really challenge the status quo, you’ll be alone… because where are the other women who are as committed to leaving “good girl” behind as you are? (They’re there, promise!)
But the one thing stronger than all those fears swirling around in your brain? Your unshakable desire to stop people pleasing, to set boundaries with ease, to feel confident, and live your life for yourself. Now you just need to know HOW. Luckily, that ever-elusive “how” is exactly what I’m here to help you find.
BUT YOU STILL STRUGGLE TO ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF IN THE WAY YOU DESERVE.
You feel like a sheep who’s fled from the “good girl” flock. You’ve done the therapy (so. much. therapy. - though don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of therapy), the reading (bell hooks, Terry Real, Glennon Doyle, Clarissa Pinkola Estes… to name a few), and the research (bring on the late-night “Is there a way to set boundaries and still have everyone like me?” internet rabbit holes).
My brand of feminist life coaching is about being a guide, not an “expert.” I’m an avid student who’s spent a lifetime learning and growing. I hold space for you, meet you as you show up, and am genuinely thrilled about sharing my hard-earned wisdom with you. Our relationship is one of companionship on this wild, rewarding journey to freeing ourselves from female gender socialization.
I GET IT. I’VE BEEN THERE. I take what I’VE LEARNED & use it TO HELP YOU GROW.
Around the age of 40, as I became the adult I always needed, I spent time looking back on my body of work - my internship at a battered-women’s shelter (a role many people would have run from but one I deeply loved), my time as a mental-health counselor in treatment centers, and my work teaching intuition-development classes. In hindsight, it was so clear I had a niche I’d never before noticed: my life’s work was a study in patriarchy’s negative impact on people (and myself). I knew I was finally ready to anchor my personal and professional experience in one highly focused place - and Robin Clark Coaching was born.
Today, my fire is all the way on as I work to give women like you an easier, shorter path to the agency it took me decades to tap into. I love nothing more than watching you peel back the layers and replace playing small with owning your strength and speaking your truth.
IT’S A TALE TOO MANY women KNOW ALL TOO WELL.
…but while I work on that manuscript, it’s feminist life coaching that fuels me. Counseling has always felt like my calling - it’s something I’ve done in different forms for over 20 years (35+ if you count the pro/con charts I encouraged my elementary school friends to make). I was a girl who knew something was wrong with the messages I was receiving. But I didn’t have the language or power to stop it at the time. Without a viable alternative, I ended up living through the disempowerment and dysfunction - which ultimately translated into codependency and self-abandonment in adulthood.
I have quite a story. Folks who know it always say I should write a memoir.
